Jar, ceramic - Tizon Brown Ware (earthenware); fragment; fire-altered; coiled and hand built with paddle and anvil technique; spherical body shape and small neck opening (4 inches in diameter) and recurved rim; shape looks like a water storage jar (listed as a "storage olla" in collector's notes); bottom is broken out; rope wrapped around neck 8 times; small hole at widest part of body; some black spots on exterior (slightly raised - looks like asphaltum); white accretions on exterior and interior; large rim piece missing and one small rim loss; spalling on one side of body; long crack from broken out bottom to neck of vessel; sediment on interior walls.
