Jar, ceramic; fragmented and recontructed; coiled and hand built; light gray/tan clay; painted with geometric designs (squares within squares) in iron oxide (ochre); diamond body shape (widest at middle) and a small mouth - looks to be a water container; piece was reconstructed prior to donation (unknown date)- note cracks in images.
The designs and color of clay look to be from the desert (perhaps Kamia). See Malcolm J. Rogers, Yuman Pottery Making, 1936.
