Jar, ceramic -Tizon Brown Ware (earthenware); whole; fire-altered; coiled and hand built with paddle and anvil technique; low ovoid body shape with a nearly 7.5 inch diameter mouth and recurved rim with rounded lip; looks to be a storage jar; pinching marks along the rim (by maker); white accretions spotted on surface; small surface gouges and scratches on exterior; 12 inch crack (horizontally) across lower body with a 7 inch crack (vertically) to bottom of jar; small amount of rim loss.
Noted by original collector as "a perfect specimen in shape and condition."
