'Iipay Aa Name 'aaskay
Description Jar, ceramic -Tizon Brown Ware (earthenware); whole; fire-altered; coiled and hand built with paddle and anvil technique; low ovoid body shape with a nearly 7.5 inch diameter mouth and recurved rim with rounded lip; looks to be a storage jar; pinching marks along the rim (by maker); white accretions spotted on surface; small surface gouges and scratches on exterior; 12 inch crack (horizontally) across lower body with a 7 inch crack (vertically) to bottom of jar; small amount of rim loss.

Noted by original collector as "a perfect specimen in shape and condition."

Provenance This artifact was found in Coyote Canyon within the local San Diego County region, collected 1910-1950.
