Jar, ceramic -Tizon Brown Ware (earthenware); fragmented and reconstructed; fire-altered; coiled and hand built with paddle and anvil technique; high ovoid body shape with a nearly 6 inch diameter mouth and a recurved rim and flat lip; storage jar; two large holes along the bottom of vessel, numerous areas of clay loss along surface and rim; prior repair, unknown date; unknown adhesive used to reconstruct vessel is visible in areas. Dimensions: Height: 12.2", Width: 11.8", Circumference: 37.5", Mouth diameter: 5.85", Weight: 5.6 lbs. |
