Description |
Jar, ceramic - Tizon Brown Ware (earthenware); fragmented and reconstructed; coiled and hand built with paddle and anvil technique; spherical body shape with a wide neck (8.75 inches in diameter), recurved rim and round lip; cooking pot (per collector's notes); drilled holes for repair at rim (consistent with Native techniques); restored at an unknown time with an unknown adhesive; 1 missing sherd; 6 small holes/losses at joints of repair; asphaltum in spots under the outside rim; white accretions inside and some outside; surface scratches on exterior. Dimensions: Height: 13.5 ", Width: 14", Circumference: 44.5 ", Mouth diameter: 10 ", Weight: 7.5 lbs. |
