Description |
Bowl, ceramic -Tizon Brown Ware (earthenware); whole; fire-altered; coiled and hand built with paddle and anvil technique; ellipsoid (sideways oval) body shape with a nearly 10 inch diameter mouth and a recurved rim and flat lip; looks to be a cooking pot; asphaltum under rim; crack along the bottom; small depression where bowl was knocked which has resulted in spalling on the interior and exterior; area of added clay (at unknown time) on exterior - perhaps to mend a crack or hole. Dimensions: Height: 9", Width: 11", Circumference: 36.5", Mouth diameter: 10", Weight: 5.22 lbs. |
