Jar, ceramic -Tizon Brown Ware (earthenware); fragmented and reconstructed; fire-altered; coiled and hand built with paddle and anvil technique; low ovoid body shape with a nearly 5.25 inch diameter neck with a recurved rim and flat lip; storage jar; areas of erosion (spalling) on the body surface; white accretions on body; prior repair, unknown date; unknown adhesive used to reconstruct sherds from rim is visible; small piece missing from rim; crack at rim and cracks on the underside of jar; sediment inside. Dimensions: Height: 13.5", Width: 13", Circumference: 39.5", Rim diameter: 7", Weight: 6.8 lbs. |
