Description |
Bowl, ceramic -Tizon Brown Ware (earthenware); fragmented and attempted reconstruction, minus one piece; fire-altered; coiled and hand built with paddle and anvil technique; rounded body shape with a 9.25 to 10 inch diameter mouth (slightly oblong); cooking or storage bowl; repaired at an unknown time with an unknown adhesive before arrival at Barona; one piece is missing from the lower body of vessel near the base and there are two areas of interior loss at mends; at least four small rim losses; white accretions on interior and exterior surfaces; some pitting on the exterior body at the widest part of bowl; one 5 cm long scratch on exterior body.
